Cerebral Palsy (CP) is an umbrella term used to describe a broad range of symptoms, which affects many aspects such as movement and posture. This condition is the result of a defect in one or more specific areas of the brain, usually occurring during foetal development. However, CP can also occur during birth or in later infancy.
Cerebral Palsy can affect some individuals ability to swallow and chew food, which can cause malnutrition and dehydration. Eating healthy foods and maintaining a healthy lifestyle will help serve an individual with CP well through life.
The Pure Food Co provides a range of texturally modified foods, helping make meal time enjoyable, comfortable and nutritious.
