The only difference is our scale and specialised expertise in texture modification—but the starting point is the same. 

When you see Minted Peas on our menu, you know they’re made with real peas—and real mint. Our Creamy Broccoli? Real broccoli in a creamy bechamel sauce, perfectly prepared. Our Braised Beef starts with quality cuts of beef, herbs, familiar seasonings, and nothing artificial—just the same high-quality ingredients you’d select at home. 

From there, we apply our innovative nutrition system and expert processes to precisely modify textures according to International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) standards, ensuring every meal is both clinically safe for residents with swallowing difficulties and genuinely enjoyable to eat. 

Where many facility kitchens may achieve IDDSI compliance by adding generous amounts of water or gravy – unintentionally lowering the meal’s nutrient density – our innovative process uses only what’s necessary for safe, consistent textures while maintaining full flavour and nutritional value.

Take our Beef Bolognese, for example—made with high-quality beef and tender vegetables, it delivers 30% more protein than comparable meals, with the same delicious flavour. Our specialised fortification techniques allow us to enhance protein and energy density without the dilution methods commonly used in facility kitchens, so residents receive optimal nutrition in every carefully measured serving.

While legumes can be difficult to modify to the correct texture (they have very fibrous skins), our Baked Beans are carefully cooked to provide the perfect combination of palatability, textural safety and nutritional density that those with dysphagia require – and most importantly, they deliver the familiar taste of Baked Beans that residents know and love.
